Killinis in the heart of Scotland and our situation means that the
Famous Capercaillie Restaurant is ideally situated as a perfect touring base from which to explore the Highlands.

For example travel times:

Fort William 90 min, Oban 70 min, Pitlochry 60 min, Glen Coe 60 min, are but a few attractions close by.

We are opposite the island of Inchbuie, which is the traditional burial place of the Macnab Clan.
An ancient stone circle is but a few minutes walk away.

Follow the River Dochart downstream and you will come to Loch Tay, famous for salmon fishing and an ornithologists dream.

The Sustrans cycleway Route 7 passes through the village as does The Rob Roy Way.

If walking or hiking is your passion then you have an abundance on your doorstep. There are over 20 munros (mountains over 3000 ft ) within 30 min of Killin and numerous lowland hikes with breathtaking scenery.

Closest is Ben Lawers  (Beinn Labhair) one of the highest Munros in the southern part of the Highlands.
It lies to the north side of Loch Tay and is the highest point of a long ridge that includes seven Munros.

It is also the gateway to Glen Lyon - Scotlands "longest, loveliest, loneliest glen"

(with Ben Lawers in the background)
is only an half hour drive away.

The centre features an unique reconstruction of an early Iron Age loch-dwelling

18 are preserved on Loch Tay alone!

Killin Golf Club is at the other end of the village
A picturesque 9 hole course, often described as the most beautiful 9 hole course in Scotland.
It offers the the golfer a challenging round - h
