If walking or hiking is your passion then you have an abundance on your doorstep. There are over 20 munros (mountains over 3000 ft ) within 30 min of Killin and numerous lowland hikes with breathtaking scenery.
Closest is Ben Lawers (Beinn Labhair) one of the highest Munros in the southern part of the Highlands.
It lies to the north side of Loch Tay and is the highest point of a long ridge that includes seven Munros.
It is also the gateway to Glen Lyon - Scotlands "longest, loveliest, loneliest glen"

The centre features an unique reconstruction of an early Iron Age loch-dwelling
18 are preserved on Loch Tay alone!
